The first retail production version of the new 2025 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 recently fetched $3.7 million at the renowned Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale auction. This bid ties the record for the highest amount ever offered for a Barrett-Jackson charity vehicle. In 2022, the 2023 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 70th Anniversary Edition achieved the same total. All proceeds from the winning bid will be donated to the Red Cross for relief efforts. A primary objective is to help the various communities across the country affected by recent natural disasters, including floods and wildfires.

Chevrolet is one of the premier names in the American automotive industry. One of their socially-conscious initiatives involves collaboration with the National Newspaper Publishers Association (NNPA) and Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU). Chevrolet calls this initiative "Discover the Unexpected."

On April 9th, the 2023 Corvette Z06 was auctioned for $1 million at the Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale Auction. The proceeds from the sale will benefit the Thurgood Marshall College Fund. The GM Foundation matched the winning bid, bringing the total donation to $2 million. Chevrolet and GM have a long history of supporting education initiatives. The latest donation is another example of their dedication to giving back to the community.
