What's New for the 2018 Chevy Express?

Commercial entities will be delighted with the new 2018 Chevy Express, a cargo van that is perfect for everything from plumbing businesses to churches that need transpiration for their many programs and events. Chevy made sure to advertise this one for the behemoth that it is, and it's going to be a workforce with power, safety features, and of course, massive amounts of cargo and passenger space. With seating for as many as 15 passengers, you're never going to lack for space when you hit the road on this one.

2018 Chevrolet Express Trims & Features

The 2500 and 3500 come in one primary trim: the WT. The WT can be fitted with a Vortec™ V8 engine with 341 horsepower and 373 lb.-ft. of torque, a Hydra-Matic® 6-speed automatic transmission, and plenty more amenities. You also get a terrific extended cab from the base package. For most businesses, though, you're going to find that the standard features and design work just fine. Here's why.

The Chevy Express is built for durability, solidness and safety. With bold, striking colors to choose from, like Red Hot, Summit White, and Silver Ice Metallic, you'll always be sure to catch an eye or two on the road.

Sometimes when you're hauling many passengers, you need to make sure that they have a little entertainment on the way. The Express has a AM/FM stereo with CD/MP3 player, Chevy MyLink for connectivity, SiriusXM satellite radio, and NavTraffic for precise GPS help. Full-length rubberized-vinyl floor covering sets the pace here. This is extremely easy to clean, and that's a must when you're transporting a lot of people or cargo.

2018 Chevrolet Express Performance

2018 Chevy Express Front

The standard engine is a 4.3L V6 engine with 276 horsepower at 5200 rpm/298 lb-ft of torque at 3900 rpm), but you've got plenty of choice on this one. There's a Vortec® 6.0L V8 SFI engine with 341 horsepower at 5400 rpm and 373 lb-ft of torque at 4400 rpm. Finally, you can opt for a 2.8L Duramax® Turbo-Diesel I4 engine that churns out 181 horsepower at 3400 rpm, and gives you 369 lb-ft of torque at 2000 rpm, with active tow haul mode. As you can see, there's plenty of power and precision in the Express, and your business is certain to benefit from it.

2018 Chevrolet Express Safety

2018 Chevy Express RearStandard safety features should help you breathe easy while you're driving this vehicle. It comes standard with 2 airbags, hill start assist, and rear vision camera for both the 2500 models (one with regular wheelbase and the other with extended wheelbase). Optional features make you breathe even easier: OnStar Automatic Crash Response system, Side Blind Side Alert, and Rear Park Assist, to name just a few of the helpful safety features. Add that to a durable, rock solid construction built into the design, and you're driving a vehicle that will keep every single passenger safe and sound during their journey. Whether you're a business that needs to transport customers or a business that needs to carry large amounts of cargo, you're going to find something to love about the new Express passenger van from Chevy. It's a terrific choice for your fleet.
