Recently, GM has decided to replace their Chevrolet Express option with electric vehicles instead. This should be pulled off by around 2026 if all goes as planned.
GM EVs and Passenger Vans
These big passenger vans are being discontinued as of 2025. Instead, they are going to be discontinued in favor of some battery-electric vans,
These trucks will likely have a chassis that's coming to GM electric vehicles, as well as the Ultium battery packs with modular options.
It will likely have more than 600 cubic feet of cargo capacity space. These new vans will likely be based on other van EV options that will make up a fleet, but these may not be fully read until sometime in the future, The expected range, like other similar vans, will be around 250 miles. This will be done with batteries that use around a 120-watt fast charger. These similar options often can go 74 miles per day.
More and more vehicles are switching between old models and models that use electrical approaches instead. This includes the modern big vans, for example. In other words, many vehicles are using old models to determine what they will look like. Options like the Savanna or the Express will have their Evequivelants coming out based on the designs that were used previously to make something entirely new.
These may also be converted into window vans that have high seating capacities of 15 or more. These conversions from these old vehicles may end up being school buses with an EV component that could end up getting funding for the government as the government starts to focus on more green options, even for school buses. As a result, everything will start turning green across the board.
