What's New for the 2019 Chevy Bolt?
In 2016, Chevrolet introduced a front-motor, five-door all-electric subcompact hatchback named the Bolt, or Bolt EV. By 2019, its third model year, the Bolt had won critical acclaim from industry publications such as Motor Trend and Automobile Magazine. No major changes were made to the 2019 Bolt.

Which Trims & Features are Available for 2019?
The 2019 Chevy Bolt is available in LT and Premier trims. With seating for five, the hatchback provides 94.4 cubic feet of passenger volume. Standard cargo space is measured at 16.9 cubic feet. However, you can fold down the rear seats to expand it to 56.6 cubic feet. Cloth upholstery, a deluxe steering wheel, and front-seat 6-way manual adjustability are standard. At the Premier level, the electric car is upgraded with a heated leather-wrapped steering wheel and front- and rear-seat heating.
For comfort and convenience, the Bolt starts with features such as cruise control, keyless open and start, remote keyless entry, remote start, push-button engine start, cargo storage for the charging cord, location-based and programmable vehicle charging, a driver information center that features an 8-inch multi-color configurable display, a Wi-Fi hotspot for 4G LTE Internet access, the Chevrolet Infotainment System with a 10.2-inch color touchscreen, Bluetooth audio streaming, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto for smartphone integration, voice command, dual USB ports and an auxiliary audio jack for connecting mobile devices, and a three-month trial subscription to SiriusXM satellite radio. Comfort and convenience options include leather upholstery, wireless device charging ability, two USB charging-only ports for rear passengers, and a seven-speaker Bose sound system.
2019 Bolt Powertrain Options
The powertrain of the 2019 Chevy Bolt consists of an electric motor with 200 horsepower and 266 lb-ft of torque, a 60-kilowatt-hour lithium-ion battery, and a single-speed Electronic Precision Shift transmission. With its powertrain, the Bolt can go from 0 to 60 mph in 6.5 seconds, and it can achieve 238 miles of electrical range with a full charge and an estimated 119 MPGe in combined efficiency. The Electronic Precision Shift comes with a selector for regenerative braking, which means that the vehicle's kinetic energy will be converted into chemical energy and stored in the battery for later use to drive the car. The 7.2-kilowatt onboard charging module provides up to 4 miles of range per hour of charge with the standard 120-volt portable charge cord, as well as up to 25 miles of range per hour of charge with the available 240-volt 32-amp charging unit.
Bolt Safety Features
Restraint and cushioning on the 2019 Chevy Bolt in the event of a collision is provided by 10 airbags: two dual front impact airbags, a pair of knee airbags for the driver and front passenger, two front seat-mounted side impact airbags, and two front and two rear roof-mounted side curtain airbags. Also on board are a rearview camera, StabiliTrak for electronic vehicle stability with traction control, four-wheel anti-lock disc brakes, LED daytime running lights, a pedestrian safety signal, tire fill alert, and Teen Driver for assistance in encouraging better driving behavior from younger drivers.
The Premier trim is upgraded with features such as rear cross traffic alert, rear park assist, lane change alert with side blind zone alert. In addition, the Premier gets a rear camera mirror and surround vision in place of the rearview camera for a wider, less obstructed field of view. Security is provided by the combination of remote keyless entry, a panic alarm, and engine immobilization to form a theft-deterrent system. Options include low-speed forward automatic braking, forward collision alert, lane keep assist with lane departure warning, following distance indicator, and front pedestrian braking.
