The Chevy Impala, a classic since the 1950s, will be retired next year. The 2020 Chevrolet Impala will be the last Impala model produced. The LS trim has already been eliminated from the 2020 releases. That trim had a four-cylinder engine with a capacity of 2.5 liters. There's no significant price difference between a 2019 and a 2020 Impala.
There's less chrome on the car's exterior than in models produced in previous years. Still, the Impala retains its sporty appearance, packaged as a family sedan. In the long term, the 2020 Impala will have future sales value after a few decades due to its status as the last Impala model produced by the brand.
Two 2020 Chevrolet Impala trims are on the market: the LT and the Premier. The LT has five color options, while the Premier has four. Only the 2020 Chevrolet LT can be purchased in white. The other available colors are black, red, pearl, and silver. The combined mpg for both trims is 22, 18 mpg for city streets, and 28 mpg for highways. Testing has shown that mpg can go up to 32 on long stretches of highways of around 200 miles.
The Impala has front-wheel drive and a six-speed automatic transmission. The large sedan seats five comfortably. Chrome and woodgrain finishes add a touch of class. Passengers will enjoy the eight-inch infotainment screen that can be linked with Android Auto or Apple CarPlay. The Impala also has 4G LTE WiFi.
The V6 engine in both trims has a 3.6-liter gas tank and can reach 305 hp. The engine has a torque of 264 lb-ft. Drivers will enjoy the Direct Injection feature. Testers have noted that the V6 engine is superior to the engine in the discontinued LS. The engine operates on regular gas.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) gave the 2020 Chevrolet Impala a five-star rating. The 2020 Chevrolet Impala has driver, passenger, front side and rear side airbags. Brake assist, traction control, and electronic stability controls assist drivers when steering. Integrated turn signal mirrors offer increased visibility. The blind-spot monitor and cross-traffic alert help to protect pedestrians in the Impala's path.
