2018 Chevy Traverse - What's New?

Whether you're headed to work or taking a much-needed trip with the family, the 2018 Chevy Traverse in Lincoln will get you there in comfort and style.

For the current model year, the vehicle receives a wide range of enhancements. Outside, the SUV ditches the rounded look that it once had for a square-like design that offers a more sculpted and refined appearance. Other highlights include revised engines, a new transmission, refreshed styling and added cabin space.

Three Trim Options

Offered in LS, LT and Premier, the new Traverse can be customized to fit a variety of needs. Standard features include automatic headlights, a rear spoiler, Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, a six-speaker sound system, a 7-inch MyLink touchscreen and multiple USB ports that can keep all your electronics charged and ready to go.

More amenities can be had on upper trims, as noted by 2018 Chevy Traverse reviews. These include leather upholstery, navigation, tri-zone automatic climate control, heated front seats, remote start and a premium Bose stereo system.

Underneath the Hood

The 2018 Chevy Traverse in Lincoln comes equipped with one of two different engines. For starters, there's a 3.6-liter V6 that can now produce up to 305 horsepower--20 more horsepower than the previous model. Torque output stays the same at 260 lb-ft.

There's also an available 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine option that delivers 255 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque. Both engines are paired to a new nine-speed automatic transmission, sending power to your choice of a front- or all-wheel-drive system.

Safety First

Chevy makes safety a top priority and it shows in the new Traverse. Standard safety equipment includes a plethora of high-quality airbags, a rearview camera, antilock brakes and Teen Driver mode, which lets owners set driving parameters for young drivers and valet. The SUV can also be had with a number of driver-assist technologies, such as lane departure warning, forward collision alert with automatic braking and a surround-view camera system.
