The legendary Chevrolet Corvette continues to turn heads in the high-performance sports car arena. Recent track testing has shown that the Corvette ZR1X and ZR1 are now the fastest cars produced by an American manufacturer, underscoring Chevy's skill in building vehicles that can compete with the best around the globe.

Chevrolet Corvette ZR1

Even with a non-professional racecar driver at the controls, the Corvette ZR1 posted a 6:50.763 lap around the Nürburgring Nordschleife. Powering this mid-engine supercar is a 5.5L, twin-turbo flat-plane crank V8 rated at an astonishing 1,064 horsepower and 828 lb-ft of torque.

The new Corvette ZR1 delivers breathtaking acceleration and a top speed of 233 mph, while also offering razor-sharp handling. An available ZTK Performance Package helps drivers chase faster lap times. It includes several truck-focused upgrades, such as high-performance Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 R tires and a unique aero kit. Despite its track prowess, the Corvette ZR1 remains comfortable for street driving. It features standard amenities such as a Bose premium sound system, a Rear Camera Mirror, and a high-resolution infotainment screen with Google Built-in.

The ZR1X turns up the heat. It uses the same engine as the ZR1 but adds an electric front-drive motor, pushing total output to 1,250 horsepower. On the Nürburgring, it posted a 6:49.275 lap, and its eAWD system constantly watches tire conditions to help keep maximum grip.
