Specs at a Glance

In 2021, the Tahoe has undergone a complete transformation with an exterior and interior refresh. This year's Tahoe is larger than the previous model with more interior space, height, and width. That translates to even more cargo and passenger space with the latest Tahoe. Performance also gets an update for the Tahoe in 2021, which is now offered with a diesel engine. An independent rear suspension system, standard on the Tahoe this year, provides superior comfort and handling. Two trims offered in the lineup are the LS and the High Country. The LS trim is the base model with Chevy's new infotainment system and seating for eight. The High Country gets even more features, including an upgraded engine, a unique exterior color, and more safety technology.

Performance

Performance features vary between the base trim level and the High Country. To start, the LS trim level has a 5.3L engine with eight cylinders capable of 355 HP and 383 LB-FT of torque. A 10-speed transmission is standard. Powering the High Country trim is a 6.2L V8 engine with a power output of 420 HP and 460 LB-FT in torque. Along with this engine, you can also choose to get a diesel engine instead of with six cylinders and a power output of 277 HP. The diesel engine's maximum torque is also 460 LB-FT.

Appearance

The Chevy gets a bold new appearance for both trim levels in 2021 with reshaped headlights and a broader front grille. LED headlights are included on the LS, which also has 18-inch wheels. With the High Country comes a hands-free liftgate and even larger 22-inch wheels. A custom fascia distinguishes this trim level from the others. The High Country has a unique front grille complete with bronze decorative accents.

Features

To start with, the LS provides you with a large 10.2-inch infotainment touchscreen that supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The base trim seats eight people. The High Country adds more safety technology, including a rear pedestrian alert system and a head-up display, along with a panoramic parking camera. A sunroof, which is standard with the High Country, is available on the base level. You can also get a backseat entertainment system for the base trim and an air suspension system that raises or lowers the car's height based on your comfort and preferences.
