Specs at a Glance
The Chevrolet Suburban has been the go-to vehicle for families of all sizes for many years. In 2021, this popular SUV is offered in six different trim levels. Being a Suburban, even the entry-level LS model is very well-equipped. At the same time, the trim-topping High Country takes luxury and convenience to a new level.
Performance
Drivers who stick with the LS will get a 5.3L V6 engine that makes 355-horsepower and 383 lb-ft of torque. It pairs beautifully with a 10-speed automatic transmission. The LS is also a turbo 3.0L diesel V6 that produces 277-horsepower and 360 lb-ft of torque.
Suburban High Country models are the only ones to come standard with a 6.2L V8 that generates 420-horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque. Both the LS and High Country models come standard with rear-wheel drive but can be had with four-wheel drive.
Appearance
All models of the 2021 Chevrolet Suburban are striking. LS models show off LED headlights and 18-inch alloy wheels. A trailer hitch receiver comes standard. As for the High Country, it makes its mark with a unique grille featuring bronze accents. This model sits on head-turning 22-inch alloy wheels. The High Country is the only model available with power-retractable side steps.
Features
Choosing the Suburban LS will mean getting a 10.2-inch touchscreen, eight USB ports, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and more. Comfort features include tri-zone automatic climate control, remote start, and power-adjustable front seats. Several advanced driver aids for the LS include forward-collision warning, rear parking sensors, and automatic high beams.
Inside the High Country are sophisticated features such as climate-controlled front seats, a Bose premium sound system, and a digital instrument panel. It also gives drivers a head-up display to help reduce driver distraction, along with a rear pedestrian alert system.
