Youth Baseball Sponsorship: Lincoln Expos

One cause that we support is youth sports. Husker Chevrolet is pleased to announce that we are the proud sponsor of a youth baseball organization called the Lincoln Expos.

About Lincoln Expos

The Lincoln Expos is a rising local baseball team in here in Nebraska. Their organization is dedicated to improving the lives of local youth as they learn to grow as athletes.

The Lincoln Expos includes a team of experienced coaches who work to help their members excel in their athletic pursuits and personal lives. While it is primarily a youth baseball team, it also creates a welcoming and supportive environment where young baseball players learn to adopt positive behavior on the field, at home, at school, and elsewhere in their personal lives.

The team also encourages baseball players to work hard and have fun. The team is always open to new players, so children are encouraged to attend tryouts if they are interested in playing in future games. Each team in the Lincoln Expos consists of 12 players, and a fee is required for each season.

To teach the Lincoln Expos, coaches must go through formal training. Collectively, they have more than 100 years of combined experience coaching and teaching. Coaches are assigned to different teams based on age division. A general season consists of indoor time from January through March, and the outdoor season begins in April. The teams play in a state tournament that takes place in early July.

Husker believes in the Chevy Youth Sports mission, which is to empower kids through the power of play. In addition to being lots of fun and keeping kids active, sports play an important role in teaching children about teamwork and helping them build their self-esteem.
