Chevrolet is committed to providing its customers with peace of mind, satisfaction, and quality assurance when buying a new car. Therefore, the automaker is equipping its new vehicles with a factory warranty. There are several warranties available from Chevrolet. They are designed to cover the cost of replacing parts that break along with their associated labor in certain conditions.

Bumper-to-Bumper Limited Warranty

Chevrolet's Bumper-to-Bumper Limited Warranty will cover a new Chevrolet for three years or up to 36,000 miles, whichever is first. It covers the cost associated with replacement components and defects in material or craftsmanship. This warranty takes effect the day you buy the car or the day that the vehicle is delivered.

Powertrain Limited Warranty

The Powertrain Limited Warranty covers parts replacement and labor for up to five years of ownership or the first 60,000 miles you put on the car. The warranty also applies to the 2020 1500 truck series with a Turbo-Diesel engine and the 2500 and 3500 Series HD trucks with a 6.6L Turbo-Diesel engine. Some commercial trucks and fleets are covered under warranty as well.

Emissions Control

The Emissions Control warranty applies to defects in workmanship or material. It will cover vehicles for the first two years, or 24,000 miles, to three years or 36,000 miles, depending on the plan that comes with your car. The Emissions Control warranty covers emissions for Chevrolet vehicles sold across most of the United States.

Electric and Hybrid Warranty

Chevrolet also has a special warranty for hybrid and electric vehicles. This warranty covers specific components for a hybrid or electric car up to 100,000 miles or eight years. It is added on as a supplemental warranty to the Bumper-to-Bumper warranty standard on all new Chevrolet vehicles.

Additional Coverage

Along with the standard warranties above, Chevrolet also offers additional supplemental warranty coverage. Extra coverage is available for lease wear, GAP, and service contracts. Other warranties are also an option for older Chevrolet vehicles not covered by a new car warranty.
