2021 Chevrolet Equinox

What's New For the 2021 Chevrolet Equinox?

The Chevrolet Equinox does not get monumental changes in 2021, pending a scheduled design refresh for the 2022 model year. The light changes that the Equinox brings to the table this year include a shortened lineup of available engines, with one standard engine now powering all trim levels. Chevrolet also focuses on enhancing the LT trim, which is now eligible for another package called the Leather package that adds leather seats and some additional interior conveniences.

Which Features Are Available for 2021?

As with the 2020 Equinox, you can choose from four trim levels for the Equinox in 2021. The first trim level is the L, which is offered with a silver or white paint color. Its other exterior highlights include heated mirrors and alloy wheels. The interior of the L is comfortable and tech-savvy. Its base technology package, which is impressive by any standard, includes built-in WiFi and an infotainment system with a seven-inch screen that supports your music and smartphone pairing with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The cabin has four USB charging ports, and keyless entry makes for easy hands-free access.

The LS, which is the second Equinox trim, gains a privacy glass in the back and a power-operated driver's seat through a package. It also has a compact spare tire and floor mats for the back row. The LT trim has a distinguished exterior with upgraded headlights and chrome-accented trim along the body. Its interior gets some upgrades, too, including satellite radio and an upgraded driver's screen. You can also get a power liftgate, heated front seats, a leather steering wheel, and dual-zone climate control along with the leather package. Some unique exterior paint colors are offered for the LT, including Chrome, Blackout, and Midnight Edition. The Premier trim has a bolder exterior with 18-inch wheels and LED headlights. It adds more chrome accents as well. A wireless charging pad and ambient lighting are added to its interior for a more upscale ride.

Safety Features in the Forefront for 2021

Lane departure avoidance, forward collision mitigation, and a rear-seat reminder system are standard Equinox safety features. Parking sensors are added to the higher-end trim levels, along with blind-spot monitoring.
