What's New For the 2020 Chevy Traverse?

In 2020, the Chevrolet Traverse gets more standard features and amenities. More power is in store for drivers thanks to a now-standard V6 engine. The infotainment systems on the latest Traverse come with navigation for convenience. This year has more features included in the category of optional and available amenities and packages. The 2020 Chevy Traverse belongs to the second Traverse generation that launched in 2018.

With impressive volumes of space in the back row and cargo area, the Traverse can take everyone (and everything) along for the ride. Up to eight occupants can fit comfortably in the vehicle across three rows of spacious and comfortable seats. A WiFi hotspot makes staying connected on the road easier than ever. This year's Traverse can pull up to 5,000 pounds. A wide range of 10 paint colors provides many aesthetic options.

Chevy Traverse is Impressive No Matter Which Trim Level You Choose

There are six trim levels of the 2020 Traverse. The base trim, called the LT, gets many standard features and has many more optional amenities. A total of 10 cupholders throughout the cabin keeps your beverages in easy reach. The seats and head restraints are both multi-way adjustable. This trim also has a 3.5-inch driver's information center. A 4G WiFi hotspot comes standard at the base level, as does an eight-passenger seating configuration. Active noise cancellation makes rides more relaxed and enjoyable. Carpeted floors and floor mats are standard, as is a cargo storage area under the floor in the back. The LS adds a seven-inch infotainment display screen and more optional features.

The LT provides a choice of cloth or leather seats. It swaps three rows of bench-style seats for captain's chairs in the second row. Starting with this trim level you'll get a larger eight-inch infotainment system with an HD color screen. Heated front seats, which are standard, are appreciated on cold winter days. A 120V power outlet is standard in the RS. It also gets a 4.2-inch driver's information display and a front passenger's seat that moves in six ways. An automatic steering wheel is standard on the Premier trim on up. A higher-quality Bose sound system is standard on the Premier, too. Topping the line is the High Country. It gets custom accents such as bright sill plates and a standard eight-inch infotainment system with navigation. More safety features are standard as well.

The engine can produce 310 HP at 6,800 RPM and 266 LB-FT of torque at 2,800 RPM. Variable valve timing and direct injection technology maximize performance and power capabilities. Anti-lock disc brakes are standard on the Traverse to make towing and driving safer and easier. The Traverse has a nine-speed automatic transmission and choice of front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive.
