What's New For the 2020 Chevrolet Suburban?

The 2020 Chevy Suburban gets only minor refreshments and adjustments. Considering that the Suburban is historically one of the most popular and best-selling SUVs of all time, it doesn't need any modifications to stay competitive and please the crowds. However, the Suburban gets some adjustments to its features anyways, primarily on a trim-specific basis. The 2020 Chevy Suburban also gets more packages this year, including a performance package with a stronger V8 engine and accessories.

An upscale cabin is a highlight of all three trim levels, with the number of standard and available amenities increasing across the lineup. The full-size Suburban also stands out for its versatile seating configuration offering anywhere from seven to nine seats across three comfortable and spacious rows. While its interior is designed for comfort, the Suburban's mechanical system is designed for strength. It remains one of the few SUVs on the road that has a substantial towing capacity paired with a powerful engine. With a towing capacity exceeding 8,000 pounds, the Suburban can take your personal equipment or toys along for the ride. The 2020 Suburban belongs to the 11th generation of the Suburban SUV.

Which Trims & Features are Available in 2020?

The Suburban is offered in three trim levels. From appearance to powertrain options, you'll get more options moving up in trim. The base trim is called the LS. Connectivity and convenience are emphasized in the LS, which gets three standard 12V power outlets in the front row, back row, and cargo area. A 110V power outlet is standard for additional convenience, too. The digital driver's information screen provides vital, real-time information about the vehicle's performance. Meanwhile, drivers can enjoy the intuitive, eight-inch infotainment screen that comes standard even on the base trim. A 4G WiFi hotspot is also standard on the base trim.

Progressing to the mid-level trim provides even more amenities. While you can choose either six or seven airbags in the base trim, the LT comes standard with seven. It also has a passenger's seat that moves in six ways. Instead of six speakers, the LT gets a higher-end Bose audio system with nine speakers. Leather seats in a Cocoa/Dune color pattern are available. A leather-trimmed steering wheel is standard, but you can choose a heated steering wheel for cold-weather comfort. Last but not least is the Premier. Leather seats and a heated leather-wrapped wheel are standard. This trim also rides on 20-inch alloy wheels. Numerous packages supplement the standard amenities.

A Perfect Blend of Power and Fuel Efficiency

2020 Chevrolet SuburbanThe 2020 Chevy Suburban has two engines. The base is a 5.3L V8, producing 355 HP at 5,600 RPM and 383 LB-FT of torque at 4,100 RPM. The second, which is optional through a performance package in the Premier, is a larger and more powerful 6.2L V8. A six-speed automatic transmission is the standard drivetrain.

Safety Features in the Forefront for 2020

2020 Chevrolet SuburbanFrom daytime running lights to anti-lock brakes, the 2020 Suburban is equipped with many safety amenities. A backup camera and rear park assist are standard across the board.
