What's New for the 2020 Chevy Silverado?

The incredibly popular Chevy Silverado pickup truck has taken its game to the next level for 2020. This year, drivers will have the option of having a 3.0L Duramax turbodiesel underneath their hood. The Silverado is now offering Adaptive Cruise Control, something that many drivers are coming to rely on. Those who do a lot of hauling will want to be sure to check out the Advanced Trailering System, which gives you an astonishing 15 different camera views.

There are many different variations of the 2020 Silverado. There are eight different trim levels. Drivers can select from the Work Truck, Custom, Custom Trail Boss, LT, LT Trail Boss, RST, LTZ, and High Country. They can further choose from crew, extended, and regular cabs. Finally, there three different bed lengths to consider when selecting your 2020 Silverado.

Drivers will find abundant features on every level of the Silverado. Coming standard on all models is a 7" touchscreen that works with both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. There is also a standard rearview camera and automatic headlights. Selecting higher trim levels adds more features. The LT, for example, gives you a 4G LTE Wi-Fi and automatic climate control. Those looking for an off-roader will want to check out the Custom Trail Boss and Trail Boss. These trims get a 2" suspension lift as well as off-roading tires.

2020 Chevy Silverado Horsepower

2020 Chevy SilveradoThere are multiple different engine options available inside of the 2020 Silverado. Option number one is a 4.6L V6. With this, drivers get 285-horsepower and 305 lb-ft of torque. The standard pairing for this engine is a six-speed automatic transmission. The next choice is a 2.7L turbocharged four-cylinder that gives drivers 310-horsepower as well as 348 lb-ft of torque. Going with this engine means getting an eight-speed automatic transmission.

Fans of the V8 have two different options in 2020. The first is a 5.3L V8 that will give you 355-horsepower as well as 383 lb-ft of torque. With this engine, you can have either the six-speed or eight-speed automatic transmission. The other option is a 6.2L V8 that will give you 420-horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque. You always get a 10-speed automatic transmission with this engine. Prefer diesel? 2020 sees the Silverado getting a 3.0L turbodiesel inline-six that makes 277-horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque.
