What's New for the 2020 Chevrolet Sonic?

For the 2020 model year, the Chevy Sonic receives two new exterior colors. Now, you can choose from a total of nine exterior colors for the 2020 model. Also, all trim levels of the Sonic are now automatic transmission. The manual transmission has been discontinued.

The 2020 Chevy Sonic is available in three trim levels: LS, LT, and Premier.

Starting with the LS trim level, the 2020 Sonic comes with 15-inch steel wheels with bolt-on covers, automatic on/off headlamps, body-color manual outside mirrors, LED daytime running lamps, 4-speaker audio system, air conditioning, and power door locks.

The mid-level LT trim comes with many of the features found on the LS trim plus 15-inch aluminum wheels, body-color heated power outside mirrors, body-color door handles, cruise control, graphite silver metallic instrument panel, and power windows.

The highest-level trim offers upgraded features such as 17-inch painted aluminum wheels, all-season tires, 6-speaker audio system, 6-way power driver and front passenger seats, and Enhanced Driver Information Center.

2020 Chevrolet SonicThe 2020 Chevy Sonic comes with a 1.4-liter Turbo ECOTEC 4-cylinder engine that outputs up to 138 horsepower. This powertrain is paired to a 6-speed automatic transmission for a smooth and consistent drive. The 0 to 60 mile per hour acceleration time is rated at 9.0 seconds. The Chevy Sonic can come to a complete stop - from 60 miles per hour - in 157 feet.
